Artemis Research, a premier clinical research company specializing in Neurology, Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, and Women’s Health, is seeking a Clinical Rater (RN, Psychometrist, or Psychometrician) to conduct cognitive and psychometric assessments for groundbreaking Alzheimer’s, Mild Cognitive Impairment, Depression, Anxiety, and Parkinson’s Disease clinical trials.

Position Overview: Clinical Rater – PRN/Per-Diem

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Rater to perform cognitive and clinical assessments for adult and geriatric populations in FDA-regulated clinical trials. The ideal candidate has experience administering standardized neurocognitive and psychiatric rating scales such as CDR (Clinical Dementia Rating) and PACC-5 (Preclinical Alzheimer’s Cognitive Composite 5).

 

📍 Location: Riverside, CA (Onsite – No Remote Work)
Clinic Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM, shifts are typically 8 hours
💲 Pay Rate: $55-$100/hr (Based on Experience & Education)
🚗 Travel Required: No

 


Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and evaluate study-specific clinical scales and psychometric tests to assess cognitive function, eligibility, and disease progression.
  • Conduct in-person cognitive, diagnostic, and clinical assessments of study participants and caregiver interviews following study protocols, FDA, and GCP (Good Clinical Practice) guidelines.
  • Maintain consistency in rating performance over time to ensure accuracy and prevent rater drift.
  • Communicate assessment findings with lead physicians, study sponsors, CROs, and research teams.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all assessments and study-related activities.
  • Identify and report any patient safety concerns or risks per company policy.
  • Provide community resource referrals to participants, caregivers, and families as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • Master’s Degree (or higher) in Nursing, Psychology, or a related field.
  • OR an RN license with at least 1 year of experience administering and evaluating patients using CDR and/or PACC-5 assessments.
  • OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology (or related field) with at least 1 year of experience administering and evaluating patients using CDR and/or PACC-5 assessments.

Experience:

  • Required: Prior experience conducting cognitive assessments for adults and geriatric populations.
  • Preferred: Previous experience as a Clinical Rater, Psychometrist, or Psychometrician in clinical trials or research settings.
  • Strong understanding of neurocognitive and psychiatric assessment tools.
